At its meeting on Monday Feb 10th at 7pm, Stratford City Council will consider declaring a climate emergency. This is a first critical step to making local climate action a priority and doing our part to keep global warming below 2°C.
The four local students pictured here have worked hard to prepare a presentation for Council that highlights why the declaration is an important response to the climate crisis.
Here are 3 things you can do to show support:
🌎 Come out to hear their presentation! And wear something green! >> Monday February 10, 7 pm, Council Chambers, City Hall

A link to the report for the City Council meeting, including the motion text, is in the meeting agenda posted on this page on the city’s website.
Today, over 800 million people live in countries and local communities that have declared global warming an emergency — that’s 1 in 10 people on the planet.
